Back to School Backpack

It doesn’t matter if you are starting kindergarten or your Ph.D., back to school shopping is a must!

The biggest purchase I needed to make was a backpack.

In Toronto, you’ll see young professionals walking around with beautiful Louis Vuitton purses or attractive totes but even if I could afford one, unfortunately, a Louis Vuitton won’t hold all my textbooks ergonomically. And if I put everything in a tote, my back, hips, and knees will hate me (wow am I getting old or what?)

Then I found myself stuck in another dilemma. I wanted something that looked professional but not a classic backpack (you know those ones where it looks you’re about to go hiking).

I needed to prioritize comfort and practicality but I still wanted it to look good.

My friend introduced me to this bag from Matt and Nat

So, I went to go check out their backpacks (I found this one at Chapters)

It’s a backpack  ✔️

It’s comfortable ✔️

It looks professional and cute ✔️

It has lots of space for books and food ✔️

It won’t get damaged in the rain or snow ✔️

PLUS they don’t use leather or any other animal based materials – bonus, right?

And what I love most is their brand and how it aligns with my personality. Their motto is live beautifully. They explain that:

“Living beautifully means appreciating the humanity, creativity, and positivity found in all of us. Their values include social responsibility, excellence, inclusiveness, integrity, learning, authenticity and, of course, love.”

Good feels, am I right?

The price was a bit expensive ($200), a bit more than I wanted but it was an investment.

PRO TIP (1)

PRO TIP:
When making purchases; prioritize comfort, practicality and invest in high-quality products that make you feel good and align with your values!  It’s worth it.

I will let you know how it works for me – so far so good.

I am curious to know what works well for others who are in school and have to carry around the unlimited number of text books, note books, laptops, food – shall I go on?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Unit next time,
